President’s Message
It is my honor and privilege to serve as the president of AANA for the year 2018.
First of all greetings, to each and every member of AANA. As you may know that AANA is a very young society founded five years ago by the efforts of Nasir Gondal, Imran Ali , Farrukh Najmi, Raza Khan, Maqbool Arshad, Omar Atiq, Abdul Ahad and Kashif Malik.
We have accomplished quite a bit in a very short time. We are almost 250 members strong. We have done many projects so far including
At the same time, I would challenge you to think of other ways you can give back to your Alma Mater to whatever degree you are comfortable. And I do not mean just monetarily, though that is, of course, always welcome. There are many ways to give back, from career and academic mentoring to volunteering time at on- and off-campus events, to simply attending academic and social events.
As an alumnus based philanthropic organization we rely on our members to attain our goals and help the organization flourish. In the current anti-Pakistan sentiments, we have made sure that we prove ourselves to be positively contributing member of the society.
I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can. I strongly encourage you to attend our meetings and I want to hear from you. Send me your suggestions on how we can make our Alumni Association a stronger, more engaged organization or you can simply send me a quick note to let me know what you’ve been up to.
Thank you again for allowing me the opportunity to serve as your Alumni Association President. I’m excited about the coming years, and what it holds for us as we partner to strengthen and grow our Alumni Association.
Aftab Khan
